We bring our lunches. It's probably fun to be able to eat out a few times a week, but we don't exactly have the cash to be doing it. Right now, Brett's on a job in New York, and I send him with 30 pounds of homemade food packed in pyrex each week. It's just how we roll.
I have a really special place in my heart for pyrex. It's probably too special.
I just, really...love...pyrex.
I'm sorry.
I do.
Do you?
While pyrex may be more expensive initially, it's worth it. It doesn't get that slimy coating of old food, it lasts forever, and it's just beautiful. If you have a collection of pyrex, we need to talk.
Now this, this...I do not own. YET.
If you're still using baggies, or you miss using baggies because you use a ridiculous amount of pyrex, check these out.
These are pretty darn neat.
The wonderful Nicole, maker of these fun reusable baggies and sandwich wraps, has been kind enough to offer my readers a 20% off coupon.
You can find her here. She's lovely, and I cannot wait to place my order.
They're machine washable, obviously earth friendly, and definitely way cooler to whip out of your lunch box in place of plastic baggies.
If you are interested in buying from her, here is the SGM code: BLOG20
If you do buy, please leave a comment and tell me what you bought!
By using lunch box gear like this, you're reducing waste, lowering your exposure to BPA, and supporting a small business. Now those are all pretty good things, dontcha think?
